Born June 15, 1938 in Nampa, Idaho, she was a daughter of John Sturman and Dorothy Campbell Sturman.

Mrs. Bouknight was a veteran of the US Navy. She worked as a dental assistant for several years and retired with the US Postal Service after more than 30 years, having worked mostly in Columbia and Prosperity.
She was a member of Wightman United Methodist Church where she served thirty-seven years as Sunday School teacher, was a member of the choir and participated in many other ways. Sewing, knitting and quilting were among her many hobbies, but her most favorite hobby was spending time with her grandchildren.

Marilyn was married to the late Richard J. "Knotty" Bouknight for 50 years. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Traci Bouknight and Neva B. and Cody Caldwell all Prosperity; two grandchildren, Brent Justice Caldwell and Tori Caldwell; siblings, Judi Powell (Alan) of Lewiston, ID, Janice Kelley, Butch Wadholm both of Yuma, AZ, Jim Sturman (Velda) of Juliaetta, ID and Donnie Wadholm (Janice) of Reubens, ID; a sister-in-law, Jewel Garner of Prosperity and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Jenny Mills.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Wightman United Methodist Church by Pastor Dean Lollis and Pastor Adrienne Fink. Interment will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at the residence and will formally receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Active Pallbearers will be Kenny Stuck, Mike Mills, Mack Garner, John Garner, Travis Chapman, Wesley Boland, Ken Cope, Christopher Mills, Blake Stuck and Jaye Stuck

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Pearl Counts Circle and of the Nancy Clarkson Circle.
