Keith Allen Felton, of Lewiston, passed
away Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026, at home surrounded by his loved
ones. He was born on May 27, 1939, to Jay and Elise Felton in
Elma, Wash. Keith spent the first 10 years of his life on the
Washington Coast. In 1949, the family moved to Lewiston. Keith
graduated from Lewiston High School in 1957. After high school
Keith was enrolled in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in
France, Texas, and Libya before closing his duty in Columbus,
Ohio, in November of 1962, returning home.

his high school sweetheart, Jeanne Hollenbeck, on March 3, 1962.
In November Keith and Jeanne moved to Walla Walla. Keith went to
work at Safeway and Jeanne at the Corps of Engineers. Shortly
after moving to Walla Walla, they bought a rope horse and Keith
began roping again. They moved back to Lewiston in July of 1963
and Keith began working at Warehouse Foods and Jeanne at
Potlatch Forests Inc. The couple spent several years working,
rodeoing and having fun together.

Kelsey Felton, was born Oct. 10, 1966, with a rope in his hand.
On June 17, 1968, daughter Kara was born and Shirley Sears made
sure she had her tap shoes on. The family enjoyed spending time
together and had many hobbies including: rodeo, dance recitals,
golf, camping, hunting and fishing.
Many jackpots were
held in the family Tammany arena (Hot Loop Lane) that welcomed
several professional ropers and top rated ropers during the
Lewiston Roundup. Keith was talented at calf roping and team
roping. He and his partner Orville Sears were successful team
roping partners for over 25 years.
Keith is survived by
his wife, Jeanne, son Kelsey (wife Lindsey), daughter Kara,
grandchildren Karson and Jace, sisters-in law Barbara Felton and
Doris Hollenbeck, sister and stepbrothers Lavina Koch, John
Arnold, Dick Arnold, half-sister Josie McIntee. He was preceded
in death by parents Jay and Elsie Felton-McAlister, stepfather
Chuck Arnold, brother Jim Felton, nephew Duane Felton, mother
and father-in-Law Dorothy and Wilbur Hollenbeck and his two
brothers-in-law.
A celebration of life will be held at 1
p.m., Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Ketch Pen at the Lewiston
Roundup Grounds, 2100 Tammany Creek Road, Lewiston. Lunch will
follow. Donations in Keith’s name may be made to Meals on
Wheels.
