John Mahoney

John was born November 27, 1939, in Lewiston, ID. He served our country as a Navy Lieutenant from 1958-1979. Following his military career, he graduated with a BA in Business management from Lewis-Clark State College in May 1981. After retiring, John and his wife, Patricia settled in Pensacola where they served as members of The Point Church and volunteered at the local Naval Museum. John had a love for his family, friends, but his greatest love was his savior, Jesus Christ.

John is survived by his wife, Patricia of Pensacola; son Michael and wife, Kim, grandchildren Summer, Jacob and great grandson Branson, and Nathan of Leonard, TX; son Patrick and grandchildren Caitlyn and MacKenzie of Orange County, CA; grandchildren Stephanie Whitehead and husband, Andy and great grandchildren Claire, Ella, and Liam of Ashburn, VA; Shannon Campos and husband Jose and great grandchildren Jonah, Cecilia, and Olivia of Leesburg, VA; brother Jerry and wife, Beverly and nephew Terry and niece Darcy of Boise, ID; sister Arlene Adsley of Eugene, OR; and brother William Jr. of Phoenix, AZ.

John was preceded in death by his mother and father, Cleo and William Mahoney; brother Patrick; and daughter Sherri Woods.

John will be laid to rest at Barrancas National Cemetery on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation
