She passed away, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, at Clarkston Health and Rehabilitation of Cascadia following a massive stoke several days earlier. She was born as an only child to Enic and Athaline (Barbour) Clevenger, premature weighing 2 pounds 13 ounces and spent the first few weeks of her life in an incubator before she was able to go home. She was the smallest baby to survive at that time in the State of Idaho.

She lived in Kuna, Idaho until she started attending school. Shortly thereafter, the family moved to Hinton, Okla., where she attended school until her sophomore year when her parents decided to move to Lewiston so Enic could work at the local mill. She met Marion Renfro in Hinton and Enic asked him if he would like to come along with them to find work. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1957.

She married Marion Renfro on Jan. 15, 1958, in Lewiston and they were married one month shy of 67 years before his passing. They had three sons, Jeff, Doug and Mike.

JoEne went to work for National Bank of Commerce in Clarkston in June of 1964 and worked there until 1977. She was also a homemaker, sold Shaklee products and worked part time at the family business Lewiston Tire and Ranch Supply which later became Big R of Lewiston. She became a realtor with Tomlinson Black in 1991. They sold the store in 1992 and she retired from real estate in 2011.

JoEne was a long-time active member of the Community of Christ Church in Clarkston. She was called to serve as an elder in the church. She was a busy hostess, assisting and caring for out of town ministers as well as preparing and serving food for Sunday dinners and potlucks at the church.

In retirement, JoEne and Marion enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time with their family.
