JoEne Clevenger Renfro

JoEne Clevenger Renfro was
born Feb. 18, 1939, in Nampa. She passed away, surrounded by her
family, on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, at Clarkston Health and
Rehabilitation of Cascadia following a massive stoke several
days earlier. She was born as an only child to Enic and Athaline
(Barbour) Clevenger, premature weighing 2 pounds 13 ounces and
spent the first few weeks of her life in an incubator before she
was able to go home. She was the smallest baby to survive at
that time in the State of Idaho.
She lived in Kuna, Idaho
until she started attending school. Shortly thereafter, the
family moved to Hinton, Okla., where she attended school until
her sophomore year when her parents decided to move to Lewiston
so Enic could work at the local mill. She met Marion Renfro in
Hinton and Enic asked him if he would like to come along with
them to find work. She graduated from Lewiston High School in
1957.
She married Marion Renfro on Jan. 15, 1958, in
Lewiston and they were married one month shy of 67 years before
his passing. They had three sons, Jeff, Doug and Mike.
JoEne went to work for National Bank of Commerce in Clarkston in
June of 1964 and worked there until 1977. She was also a
homemaker, sold Shaklee products and worked part time at the
family business Lewiston Tire and Ranch Supply which later
became Big R of Lewiston. She became a realtor with Tomlinson
Black in 1991. They sold the store in 1992 and she retired from
real estate in 2011.
JoEne was a long-time active member
of the Community of Christ Church in Clarkston. She was called
to serve as an elder in the church. She was a busy hostess,
assisting and caring for out of town ministers as well as
preparing and serving food for Sunday dinners and potlucks at
the church.
In retirement, JoEne and Marion enjoyed
traveling, camping and spending time with their family.
JoEne was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Nathaniel,
son Mike and her husband Marion. JoEne is survived by her sons
Jeff Renfro, of Clarkston, Doug Renfro (Diana), of Orofino;
grandchildren Brian Renfro (Beth), Stacie Burke (Adam), Matthew
Renfro (Stephanie), Megan Renfro and Heather Musick (Tony);
great-grandchildren Alexis, Ethan, Abigail, Molly, Brantley,
Landon, Luca, Denny, Alice and Makenya.
Services will be
held Monday, Oct. 6, at Mountain View Funeral Home, 3521 Seventh
St., Lewiston. The viewing begins at 9 a.m., with the funeral
service starting at 10 a.m. A private family burial will follow.
