Dale A Townsend , Age 73 of Eloy, AZ, passed away May 19,2013 at home in Eloy, AZ. He was born in Merrilyn, WI. Aug 19,1939 . Later years lived in AZ.

In the 1950s his parents and siblings moved to Lewiston, ID where he lived and attended Lewiston High School. During his High School years he was a Pinsetter at the Kegler Bowling Alley in Lewiston,ID. He graduated from Lewiston High School with the Class of 1957.

After high school he served in the U.S. Army from 1963-1967.He was married in 1968 to Shirley Jean Phillips.  They would have celebrated 45 years of marriage this year. Dale worked for Spreckles Sugar in California for sometime until they closed. Then he worked for Bashars Warehouse in the Southwest until retirement in 1999. He and his wife Jean traveled for several years and settled in Lewiston, ID. He and his wife Jean returned to AZ in 2007 to care for his Mother Viola Townsend.

Dale died at his home May 19, 2013 in Elroy, AZ, He is survived by his wife Shirley "Jean" Phillips Townsend at their home in Elroy,AZ.; he is also survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Townsend Irwin of CA., his sons, Fred Townsend , Robert Townsend, and Joel Townsend of AZ.  He also has eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Viola "Jenke" Townsend of AZ , a brother Gerald Townsend of Lewiston,ID.

A small private family funeral is to held and Cremation will take place. A Memorial Service to be held at a later date.
