Bob Maxey

Died 12/12/2022

Robert "Bob" Michael Maxey, 82, passed away peacefully in his home on December 12th, 2022z

Bob was born in Pampa, TX and moved to Hawaii at a young age, living near Hickam Field Air Force base in Pearl Harbor 1941. His family then relocated to Idaho, where Bob attended schools around Lewiston and ultimately graduated high school in Idaho Falls. Following high school, Bob attended Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID, graduating with a degree in Architecture, and ultimately helping to operate a successful Architecture firm in Boise for about 50 years. He was licensed in Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and Montana. Bob's favorite thing about architecture was forming lasting relationships with his clients and builders.

At home, Bob lived with his wife Barbara, whom he married in the fall of 1987, and enjoyed a happy marriage with for over three decades. He joins her now, after her passing earlier this year. He also joins his sisters, Jerry-Lee and Ardis. Celebrating their lives going forward is his younger brother Harvey.

Bob was a dog-fanatic, taking his furry pals everywhere with him, and giving them the love and care of the dearest friend.

Bob lives on through four children from his first marriage, all of whom live in the Boise area and were able to spend time with him before his passing. He had eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

He maintained many friendships, some of which reached as far back as childhood. He still owes his friend their next coffee at his local diner.

A memorial service will be arranged in the near future, and friends and family will be notified.
