Arthur L. Frye, 63, Lewiston

Arthur L. Frye, 63, a Lewiston resident, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2001, afternoon at his home.

He was born Sept. 12, 1938, at Lewiston to Dorsey and Ersel W. Staats Frye.

Art, as we all knew him, graduated in 1957 from Lewiston High School, where he was a varsity lineman on the football team.

He went on to attend college at Columbia Basin Junior College, where he also played football. Art graduated from Oregon Technical Institute as a stationary engineer.

He was very adamant about education and pursued many other degrees throughout his life.

Art had a passion for anything mechanical and if you had anything broken, he could fix it. Art also showed a love for motorcycles and passed this passion on to his children and grandchildren.

Art is survived by two sons, Todd Frye of Albuquerque, N.M., and Sean Frye of Portland, Ore. He is also survived by two grandchildren and a dachshund named Schultz.

Art has been cremated and there will be a graveside ceremony at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Juliaetta City Cemetery.
